Pawsibilities is a 501c3 non-profit animal rescue 100% committed to the idea that all animals deserve a forever loving home. Animals that come to us are stray, owner surrender, emergent medical cases, in need of re-homing, abandoned, victims of hoarding, neglect or abuse, transfers from other shelters and/or animal controls or otherwise needing a second chance. At this time our primary focus is on cats and dogs, but we also accept small animals, reptiles, birds and have plans to include livestock in the future.
Pawsibilities was founded in 2018 and received 501c3 status in March of 2019. Last year we rescued 128 animals and found forever homes for 103 by December 31, 2019 with the rest pending adoption into January of 2020. Our small facility is capable of housing up to 6 small or 2 large dogs and up to 8 cats at any given time. We also have an active foster program that has made a significant impact on our ability to save more lives.
We are starting small, but we have big dreams for this little rescue. Our vision is that one day, we can purchase land and build a facility to house animals, large and small, looking for a second chance at life and an opportunity for a forever home.
With your help… we can make this happen!
This is what you can make happen with a gift of $1,000 to $10,000
A grant of $1,000
Every new intake that comes through our doors gets a new intake veterinary exam, any necessary medical care, vaccinations, de-wormer, spay/neuter and an opportunity to regain health, strength, happiness and prepare for a forever home. It doesn’t matter to us if it’s a cat or dog, rabbit or chinchilla, we are committed to our animal’s well-being and want to provide them with the best opportunity for success in their new home. Your generous $1,000 will cover the intake costs for two dogs AND two cats!
A grant of $2,500
As we’ve grown, we are discovering we desperately need more storage space to safely hold our rescue supplies. Food, medical supplies, bowls, crates, leashes, event material, bedding and spare construction materials need somewhere to go so we can expand our animal housing. Your $2,500 donation will help cover the cost of an on-site storage shed so that we can move our supplies into a separate location and make more space for the animals!
A grant of $5,000
Throughout the year we make numerous trips to facilities in rural Nevada and Northern California transporting pets to the safety of our rescue and several rescue partners in our area. We are so excited to be a part of the first step of their journey HOME. Transporting multiple animals at once for long periods is hard work but some of the most rewarding as well. There’s nothing like warm dog breath on your neck from a smiling dog in your back seat to make you feel good! Your $5,000 donation helps cover transportation costs for a whole year!
A grant of $10,000
We are ready to expand! Construction costs for new animal housing are one limiting factor in our ability to create more space for new intakes. One of our primary goals for this year include the expansion of dog, cat and small animal housing to the following:
a. Dog housing - Add an additional two housing spaces for dogs, 10 x 16 each.
b. Cat housing - Create 5 spaces for cat housing.
c. Small animal housing - Create a space to hold 1-2 small animal enclosures appropriate for the size of the pet.
Our current funding priorities are:
1. Veterinary care
2. Increased space for storage
3. Construction of additional animal housing
